Happy New Year Everyone! Sorry I have been on hiatus since May! It was a busy and productive season with many new projects and new native avenues! I have been involved on the Education sides of #ILASLA and the FLIP Committee with #ILCA and working with the #ChicagoTreesInitiative on their #HealthyHedges Initiative to replace invasive Buckthorn. Look for it! I have also welcomed the arrival of our first child in December! He is the newest member of the #PlanItLandscapePerspectives team and will be ready for adventure come #Springtime.
As I reflect on the past year and look towards the new year, I am inspired by Thad Orr, past Editor In Chief of #GardenDesignMagazine which unfortunately is not in print anymore. He states: "...take more time to enjoy the garden- for what is a garden if not a place to create great memories with the people we care about most? So this summer I'll be making sure I put down my shovel a little more often to hang out with my family in the backyard...."
Now whether it is the shovel, like me, or the busyness or business of life. Remember that that landscape is meant to thrive both on it's own in harmony with nature and with the families and friends that gather among it. We help you #seenaturedifferently and make nature work for itself and work for your lifestyle by customizing it to your #ecosystem. Brainstorm those Spring projects so that come Summertime you can be relaxing among nature in your own #backyardretreat!
